What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is here with some of the most typical A/C problems in Denver.
If you can hear your A/C equipment running but there isn’t cool air being produced, you may need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air being produced by your system is actually cool. Call Service Experts and we’ll come out and examine your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not blowing cool air.
The reason your condenser fan may not be rotating could be that it just burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so another issue to watch for is that the water is not draining properly or that the drain is blocked. If you can confirm these issues, you may be able to discover the problem; if not, give Service Experts a call and we can find out what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and discuss your options to get your system cooling again.
First, try decreasing the temperature on your thermostat. It sounds ridiculous but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, inspect the air filter. If the air filter is blocked, it could cause huge cooling issues. Another thing that could cause your insufficient cooling is that your HVAC system is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a typical issue when homes are constructed. Service Experts will come out and conduct an analysis to determine if the size of your equipment is causing your issues.
If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off repeatedly, it could mean one of multiple things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the unit is cleaned and all blockages removed, you may be good to go. Remember that humidity also plays a part so if your home cools to the right temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to heat up quickly, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because it’s having to work harder to keep your home at a lower temperature.
No matter your problem, whatever AC trouble you run into, Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get your home comfortable quickly.
